Important Abbreviations of Peace Corps Life
PCV: Peace Corps Volunteer
PCT: Peace Corps Trainee
Site: Permanent home for 2 years
PROSPERE: A long acronym for the collaboration project containing the environmental ed and health sectors... known as an "Umbrella Project"
Stagiere (or Stage): The peace corps group you train with
COS: Close of Service (finish service)
ET: Early Terminate (not finish service)
Tubap (pronounced too-bob): a white person
Ndambe: Bean sandwich that is AWESOME
Cow Cow: a rural person, and the American equivalent of no- toothed redneck
Regional House: American places of solace in each region that PCV's go to for mass quantities of alcohol and a fun weekend away
